When conditions are created in which to grow a pearl then mussels are normally used. A pearl is made up of a substance called nacre and is formed usually around a grain of sand, as the nacre grows and increases in size , rings often appear on the pearl which is completely normal.

Pearls also vary in size and are not always perfectly round, again this is completely natural. Because nature has formed these pearls, no two items of jewellery at Peninnah are the same and therefore you can be confident of purchasing the most beautiful and unique jewellery the design of which is not generally available in the United Kingdom.
